Achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 represents one of the key scientific and societal challenges of our time. The energy industry plays a central role in this transition, which requires a rapid shift from conventional fossil fuel-based systems toward renewable energy resources and the large-scale deployment of subsurface solutions such as geological CO₂ sequestration, underground hydrogen storage, and natural hydrogen exploration. These emerging energy systems critically depend on accurate static subsurface characterization and robust dynamic monitoring of complex reservoir environments. In this context, reservoir geophysics provides essential tools for imaging, quantifying, and monitoring subsurface processes across spatial and temporal scales.en_US
